Cat Steven’s “Morning Has Broken” became very popular that it has been used by the Roman Catholic hymnal in the 70s. The lyrics are familiar for those who use the breviary for prayer. The words are from Eleanor Farjeon, 1931 and had a different melody set to it before Cat Steven’s version.
